Serious college advice needed - what language should I take?

Ok, so I need to pick a language to take in college. I have to take this language for 3 years (6 semesters) so I can fulfill one of my major requirements. I want to work for the government one day, so I want to pick a language that makes me “marketable.”

Here are my options:

  1. Arabic (hard to learn, but one of the most needed languages right now)
  2. Russian (easier to learn and still important, but not as important as Arabic)
  3. Persian/Farsi (hard to learn, but spoken in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan)

My mom thinks I should do Arabic, while my dad thinks I should stick with French (since I studied it throughout high school).

HELP.
