Justin Bieber on the cover of magazines = significant drop in sales.

Vanity Fair’s February Justin Bieber cover is on track to become the worst-selling issue for the Condé Nast monthly in 12 years and one of the top 3 worst sellers for the magazine since 1992, reports WWD. The Bieber edition has sold 246,000 copies, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations’ Rapid Report.

Justin’s October 2010 Teen Vogue cover sold just 121,054 issues, about 12% below Teen Vogue’s 2010 average, according to ABC data. In April 2010, People featured a Bieber cover sold 961,762 copies, which represents a 25 percent dip below average sales and was the third worst seller for the weekly all of last year. Vanity Fair spokeswoman: ‘Who knew 12-year-olds didn’t buy magazines?’

Hmm, maybe they’re starting to notice that his fan base is just a bunch of little girls…

  • Mom: That little Bieber kid sings?
  • Me: What did you think he did?
  • Mom: Be on the cover of magazines.
Uh, is he wearing makeup?
Is this real life?
